Does anyone else get a ‘hot metallic’ smell when driving hard? I’ve checked all the obvious and had the car on a ramp so know there isn’t any leaks. Only seems to happen when I join the motorway and boot it from like 30-70ish. It goes after around 10 seconds but it’s bugging me. Has original exhaust Have to add - I rarely push the car to higher revs so maybe it’s just not used to hitting higher exhaust temps
Have you had any work done or exhaust parts replaced? That’s a pretty common smell when something new is added to the exhaust system.
I haven’t, it does smell exactly like that though
Here on the Autobahn in Germany, 100 miles isn’t that much, to be honest. I prefer the country roads more, where I can hear my tires begging for mercy, haha.
Today I hit around 220 km/h and smelled some exhaust, but that only happens when I really push it.
Yes it’s the same to be honest I think it’s coz I drive it like a pussy most of the time
