Okay so I have a 2013 Ford Fiesta I got in it and started driving like normal I went to accelerate after about 5 minutes of driving and the RPM shot up to 6:00 or 7:00 and then I stopped at a stoplight and then I just couldn’t accelerate at all I tried shutting it down putting in park all that fun stuff nothing worked I went turned it back on tried to accelerate shot straight up again I got somebody to help me move it out of the intersection and I’m on a slight Hill and when I tried to put it in park it wouldn’t work so I had to use my emergency brake what might be the issue I thought maybe when I shifted I might have heard some type of noise but I don’t know cars

I’m not sure if it’s relevant, but I haven’t had any warning lights, and it’s been driving fine since I got it.
A CV shaft replacement typically costs between $300 and $400, which isn’t a major concern. However, if you’re considering trading the car, that might be a good option. Good luck with your decision, and feel free to share what happens next!
