Hello, i want map my fiesta but due to possible legal issue i want to be ready to reset the ecu to stock parameters.
For the map i prefer to rely on a professionist as it is my daily car and im going to modify the induction system too, is there any software that i can use to just occasionally flash the preferred file? As far as i know the car is OBD programmable and there is a company called BlueFin which provide a tool to remap the car but honestly im not paying £159.00 + VAT (which is different in my country) just for a remapping tool which is bind ONLY to my car so i want to know if there is another method.
Another thing, are my thoughts right? Its better to map my car on a power test bench or it is better to rely on company like BlueFin which claim to boost the car up to 266nm and 183hp or pumaspeed?
In my opinion, £160 for a personal programming tool is quite reasonable, especially knowing it’s reliable, won’t cause any damage, and is backed by the supplier.
Bluefin has been around in the Ford market for a long time, so I’m confident that their file will be adequate, safe, and supported by a reputable company. If you’re not willing to pay that price, you probably wouldn’t want to invest in having a professional tune yours from scratch.
You can’t live-tune the module in there, so using a solid off-the-shelf file from someone like Bluefin would be sufficient. It might not provide the absolute maximum performance, but it’s tested and safe, in my opinion. You could push for more with multiple dyno runs and data logging, but is it really worth it for a daily driven 1.0 EcoBoost?
PCMflash will do this ECU no problem at all through OBD. For the dongle and the module price it’s similar to that tool, and you can use it with unlimited cars.

My car has 140hp idk if the ecu and other components are the same, other than that how do i know how to use it? They have some type of documentation/is there someone on YT that explain exactly how it works?
