Damaged the front right panel in my fiesta - What are my options?

I was reversing out of a parking space while stupidly turning, not noticing this massive iron pole next to me. I hit it and then moved away only to discover this damage. I visited a couple of body shops and they both quoted me between £400 - £600, saying the panel should be complety swapped.

What are your experiences with this repair? Any cheaper options?

It’s totaled? Trade it in for an ST!

Just kidding. You can either take the panel off and pound it back into shape from the other side, or find a replacement panel at a junkyard or pull-your-parts place that’s the same color.

You could order one online and paint it yourself, but it’s probably too much hassle and not worth the effort.

Meh, junkyard is cheap and easy. Find the right color match, and boom, you’re good. Just YouTube the “how-to” and you’re all set.

You don’t need a new panel. Try removing the wheel well cover and see if you can press the dent out from the inside. Use a heat gun to help the outer surface “stretch” a bit while pressing it out. For the scratches, you can get a paint match from a local dealership. It won’t be perfect, but it’ll be less noticeable.

Damage the other side and call it a modification. You’re very welcome.

Personally, a car is just a car to me, so I’d save the money and leave it as is. It’s a Fiesta, so it’s not worth much anyway. If it were an ST or RS, I could see fixing it, but for a regular Fiesta, just throw a band-aid sticker on it that says “ouch.”

I once read that using a suction dildo has helped to get things like this out easily. Worth a shot

A bathroom plunger and scalding hot water?

Either find a used fender in the same color and attach it, or apply a humorous band-aid sticker over the dent.

Using PDR and buffing or repainting will likely cost more than buying a matching color fender from a junkyard.

I typically prefer the free option of using a rubber mallet to tap it out from the other side.
