Slave cylinder alternatives?

Howdy, folks. I have the classic sticky pedal issue and need to replace my slave cylinder, have a 2016 ST. I’ve been trying to find out if there are any third party parts that don’t have the notorious leaking problem, but can’t seem to find any discussion on the topic. Are there any third party slave cylinders that aren’t going to crap the bed?

As a side note, I’m also going to replace my clutch and flywheel. Is C1BZ-6477-C the correct part number for the dual mass flywheel? I’ve heard a lot of the ST parts are different, and been having a hell of a time trying to figure out which ones they are.

Flywheels don’t typically need to be replaced unless there’s significant wear or damage. Why are you planning on replacing yours? Just curious.

That is the correct flywheel part number for the FiST. I replaced mine because it was making noise with the clutch out and in neutral at idle.

Yes, going with the OE slave cylinder is generally the best option. I totally get the paranoia about it—clutch issues can be a headache. If your clutch is still feeling great at 44k, you’re in good shape. Changing the fluid soon is a smart move for peace of mind and to keep everything running smoothly.
