New Brakes - Ford Fiesta

Got some of the older 6 pot Mountune brakes on today. Already feels so much better.

Are stock brakes insufficient for braking? I’ve never had that issue. They do look awesome, though. What makes them better—do they just stop faster? Sorry, I’m a bit of a newbie here.

Big brakes are rarely about stopping power, usually they’re for better heat dissipation meaning your brakes work at peak power for longer if you’re driving hard like a track day or some serious canyons. The stock ones can overheat and lose grab very quickly.

I wanted a BBK for the ease of swapping pads at the track and for better heat management. These cars really heat up the brakes.

The stock brakes were fine for a while, but on more spirited drives, they started to fall short toward the end. Plus, I’ve gotten into track days, so I wanted a bit more performance.

A bigger brake surface will stop faster and last longer under heavy use.

Love this fitment …top notch👌

Looks delicious! I’m also a big fan of those wheels. At first, I almost thought they were 16’s.
