Do you prefer the design of the mk 8 or the 8.5?

Personally, I prefer the 8

The MK8 looks more aggressive, clean, and stylish.

In contrast, the 8.5 appears wobbly and bland, particularly because of the grill design. The change in headlight style from the MK8 also detracts from its overall appeal.

I’m not sure which is which either, but I definitely prefer the bigger grille. Based on how car design is evolving, I’m guessing that one is the 8.5.
